Stoneware Cluster Vase Set of Three
Contemporary JapandiJapandi

Stoneware Cluster Vase Set of Three

Displayed as a cluster on a coffee table, sideboard, or shelf, this set of three wheel-thrown stoneware vases demonstrates the central Japandi principle that objects of daily life should be both beautiful and useful. Each vase is thrown individually from grey speckled stoneware and high-fired to 1260°C for a dense, waterproof body. The glaze — a reactive iron oxide formula — produces a variegated surface ranging from warm sand at the foot to cool sage-grey at the rim, with occasional flash marks where the flame touched the glaze directly in the kiln. Three heights — 12 cm, 18 cm, and 24 cm — create a natural stepped grouping when arranged in a loose triangle. Suitable for cut flowers, dried botanicals, or as standalone sculptural objects. Being hand-made, each set carries minor variations in tone and proportion that authenticate the origin. Food-safe glaze. Dishwasher safe. Suitable for fresh and artificial flower arrangements.

Ceramic Wabi-Sabi Table Lamp
Contemporary JapandiJapandi

Ceramic Wabi-Sabi Table Lamp

Wabi-sabi — the Japanese aesthetic of beauty through imperfection and transience — finds perfect expression in handmade ceramics. This table lamp begins its life as a ball of stoneware clay, wheel-thrown by a single artisan and intentionally left with the subtle undulations and minor asymmetries of the throwing process. The glaze is applied by hand dipping in a matte off-white slip that breaks to pale ash-grey at the base and rim, suggesting centuries of gentle weathering. No two lamps are identical. A natural linen cylinder shade, hand-stitched with a 5 mm bottom trim, softens the light from the E14 socket (4W candle LED included) into the warm, diffuse glow that the bedroom demands. The shade-to-base proportion — 50:50 — keeps the lamp balanced on a nightstand without overwhelm. Includes a 1.8 m fabric cord with in-line switch. Pairs beautifully with the Floating Oak Nightstand.

Merino Wool Herringbone Throw
TimelessJapandi

Merino Wool Herringbone Throw

Woven from 100% superfine merino wool — 18.5 micron, the grade used in performance base layers — this herringbone throw delivers genuine warmth without the bulk or scratchiness of lesser wools. The classic herringbone pattern, woven on traditional shuttle looms at a mill in the Basque Country, introduces a quiet geometric rhythm in a tonal two-tone colourway: warm stone paired with cooler dove grey. Finished with hand-knotted fringe at both short ends — a detail that connects the piece to the long tradition of woven textiles and resists fraying for the life of the blanket. At 130 x 180 cm, the throw drapes generously over the foot of a queen bed, across the back of a sofa, or wraps around a single occupant in an armchair. The merino naturally regulates temperature, making it comfortable in all seasons. Hand wash in cool water with wool detergent, or dry clean. Block flat to reshape.

Handwoven Wool & Jute Area Rug — Natural / Charcoal
TimelessJapandi

Handwoven Wool & Jute Area Rug — Natural / Charcoal

Grounded in the Japandi philosophy of purposeful craft, this handwoven area rug pairs the natural warmth of undyed wool with the textural honesty of raw jute. Woven on traditional flat-loom frames by artisans in Rajasthan, each rug takes two full working days to complete and bears the subtle irregularities of genuine handcraft. The monochrome palette — natural cream warp with charcoal weft stripes at 30 cm intervals — complements virtually any interior colour scheme without competing with furniture or artwork. The 200 x 300 cm format comfortably anchors a standard three-seater sofa arrangement, with 20–30 cm of rug visible on all sides. Pile height is 8 mm — substantial enough for barefoot comfort, low enough not to trap under furniture legs. A non-slip underlay is included. Wool-and-jute construction means the rug is naturally anti-static and resistant to dry soiling. Spot-clean with cold water and mild soap; professional cleaning recommended annually.

Oak & Bouclé Upholstered Dining Bench
Contemporary JapandiJapandi

Oak & Bouclé Upholstered Dining Bench

The dining bench is one of the most versatile pieces in the considered home — at once functional at the table, sculptural in a hallway, and quietly meditative at the foot of a bed. This example reflects Japandi's defining balance: a solid oak frame, left in its natural state and finished with a clear hard-wax oil, provides the structural backbone, while a thick bouclé seat cushion — fixed by two exposed bronze press-studs — adds tactile warmth without excess. The frame's proportions are precisely calibrated: 48 cm seat height pairs with standard dining tables, while the 140 cm length seats two comfortably and three at a pinch. Legs taper from 38 mm to 22 mm for a refined, purposeful silhouette. Bouclé available in cream, sand, and charcoal. Cushion cover is removable and machine washable at 30°C. Solid oak frame has a 10-year structural warranty.

Linen Panel Headboard — Queen, Natural Oak Frame
Contemporary JapandiJapandi

Linen Panel Headboard — Queen, Natural Oak Frame

The headboard is the focal point of any bedroom, and this linen panel design takes the Japandi approach: nothing added that serves no purpose, nothing removed that carries meaning. The panel is upholstered in washed European linen — pre-stonewashed for immediate softness and a relaxed, lived-in texture — and stretched over a high-density foam core that provides just enough give for reading in bed. The framing is solid white oak, with the uprights extending to the floor and anchoring to standard bed-frame hardware via two adjustable bolt brackets. The visible join between linen and oak is a 3 mm shadow gap that reads as a deliberate design detail rather than a construction seam. Linen available in natural undyed, pale clay, and deep slate. Queen size (160 cm) and King size (180 cm) available. Linen cover is removable and dry-cleanable. Instruction sheet included; no special tools required.
